Carolina Alvarez is the founder of J&S Building Maintenance Inc. and J&S Construction Cleanup Inc., two companies she launched to create long-term opportunity and community impact in the commercial and construction services industry. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Carolina immigrated to the United States with her family in pursuit of the American Dream. She earned her degree in Business Administration from Cal State Los Angeles and began her career in the janitorial industry, eventually working her way up to Vice President of Operations for a national firm.
In 2017, she founded her own company and later expanded into construction cleanup, learning the industry from the ground up. Carolina is deeply committed to hiring from underrepresented communities and supporting nonprofits such as Thomas House Family Shelter and Colette’s Children Home.
She has completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, the Latino Business Action Network (LBAN) Business Scaling Program at Stanford University, and an executive education program at Harvard Business School. Carolina serves on the board of NAWIC Orange County and has received numerous honors, including 40 Under 40 Construction Champion, features in Professional Women’s Magazine and CVS Pharmacy “Heart at Work,” and multiple supplier diversity awards.
