Marisela Medina is a Latina entrepreneur, general contractor, community leader, and first-generation college graduate. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico, she learned the value of hard work at an early age by working in the sobreruedas and warehouses during school breaks. At a young age, she returned alone to the United States to continue her education, an experience that shaped her independence and resilience.
Marisela earned her associate’s degree in science of business administration, becoming the first college graduate in her family, followed by her bachelor of science in project management and a Micro-MBA in business management. She has completed numerous leadership, construction, and business development programs through the SBA, SBDC, and other professional organizations.
She is the CEO of a commercial construction company and is deeply involved in mentorship, school advocacy, community leadership, and women’s empowerment initiatives. Marisela is a proud wife and mother of two sons and is passionate about proving that women can be entrepreneurs, leaders, mothers, and adventurers all at once.
